Reconome

Connecting what you no longer use with the people who need it.

Bespoke initiatives: devices, connectivity and digital skills, creating measurable social value for your organisation and lasting change for the people who receive them.

Our belief, our mission.

We worry about children in schools without the devices they need to learn. Elderly people without the technology or the skills to reach basic services. Communities struggling to improve their lives. This is why Reconome exists. The people our programmes reach include refugees and asylum seekers, domestic abuse survivors, jobseekers, young people leaving care, school pupils and people in poverty.

01

Devices

Refurbished devices for households in need: licensed, charger included, 12-month warranty.

02

Connectivity

Free data through the National Databank where it is needed, so the device works on day one.

03

Digital skills

Training and onboarding through the hub that hands the device over.

04

Lending libraries

In public spaces, to improve community access.

05

Digital inclusion hubs

For councils and charities running local programmes.

06

Bespoke initiatives

Built around the causes our customers choose.

We design, deliver and measure the programme.

We handle everything, whether you already have a cause in mind or want us to find the right one. Identifying beneficiaries and community partners, matching devices to what they actually need, delivering, and reporting what changed.

Every device meets a minimum standard before it leaves us: recent enough to keep receiving operating system updates, with an SSD, a healthy battery, a charger and a 12-month warranty.

How Reconome delivers digital inclusion.

01

Devices in

We collect, assess and refurbish your surplus devices, or you fund a programme directly and we source them. Every unit tracked, every erasure certified.

02

Beneficiary requirements

We learn the needs of the chosen cause or charity, working closely with them.

03

Programme delivered

We generate proceeds from the refurbished equipment to fund what the beneficiaries actually need.

04

Measurable outcomes

You get environmental and social impact reports: devices, people reached, and carbon avoided under GHG Protocol Scope 3.

This isn't a cheque to a charity.

It's a programme with your name on it, and proof it worked.

What a repurposed device really does.

Project Harar

“The donated equipment, particularly laptops and dongles to access the 5G network, has been transformational... The technology we've been given has meant the team can do things that we would often take for granted. They are now able to consistently serve vulnerable members of rural communities to raise awareness about treatments available for cleft conditions, and then enable them to access those treatments.”
Jackie Riley, CEO, Project Harar

Reconome and Good Things Foundation.

Good Things Foundation

Reconome is the exclusive tech partner of Good Things Foundation, the UK's leading digital inclusion charity. Our device processing operation powers the National Device Bank, which provides refurbished laptops, mobile phones and tablets to people who may not have access to a device. Devices can be paired with free connectivity from the National Databank and reach people through the National Digital Inclusion Network. Together we have committed to put 85,000 devices into the hands of digitally excluded people by June 2029.
