How it works
We collect. We wipe. We refurbish. We rehome.

Hands-free collection
Tell us roughly what you have. If it can be put to use, we take it free of charge and book a collection that suits you.

Certified erasure
Every device is wiped to NIST 800-88 Rev.2, Purge by default. Only media that cannot be securely erased is shredded, and every device gets an erasure certificate.

Refurbished to a real standard
Devices that meet our standards are sent out with a licensed operating system, a charger or power cable, and a 12-month warranty.

Into the right hands
Devices go to people who need them through the National Device Bank, are resold to fund the Bank, or are recycled with zero waste to landfill.
The device was very good for me because in my free time, I can solve my problems with English grammar.

For individuals looking for help to access a device
Neither Reconome nor Good Things Foundation can supply devices directly to members of the public. Devices from the National Device Bank are distributed by members of the National Digital Inclusion Network. We would advise searching for a device gifting scheme in your area.
